Titanium carbide hard alloy drive wheel - Specialized

The titanium carbide (TiC) guide wheel is fabricated via high-temperature powder metallurgy sintering using titanium carbide powder with a purity of ≥99.6 wt%. It exhibits a Vickers hardness equivalent to HRA >92, a theoretical density of 6.68 g/cm³, and exceptional resistance to wear, high-temperature oxidation (continuous service temperature up to 1600 °C), and chemical corrosion. The working surface undergoes precision grinding and polishing, achieving a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.4 μm; dimensional tolerances are maintained within ±0.01 mm for diameter, width, and bore, ensuring coaxiality and roundness compliant with ISO 286–1 (IT5–IT6 grade). This results in low-friction operation (coefficient of friction ≤ 0.15), minimal transmission noise, and negligible surface damage to conveyed materials. Relative to conventional stainless steel or aluminum alloy guide wheels, its wear resistance is enhanced by a factor of 5–8, thereby extending service life significantly and reducing maintenance intervals and total cost of ownership. The guide wheel is vacuum-sealed for transit integrity and is fully customizable—diameter (10–500 mm), width, bore geometry, and bearing interface can be tailored to equipment specifications. It is widely deployed in demanding industrial applications, including metallurgical continuous casting lines, mining conveyor systems, semiconductor wafer handling, aerospace component assembly, and high-temperature furnace transport mechanisms.
