Wear-resistant titanium carbide rods - construction machinery cutting tools
Titanium carbide round rods, fabricated from hard alloy materials, exhibit superior electrical conductivity and are widely utilized in the fabrication of electrodes for electrical discharge machining (EDM). In precision mold manufacturing via EDM, these rods demonstrate minimal electrode wear and enable high processing accuracy. They possess excellent fatigue resistance, maintaining structural integrity under repeated impact loads, which makes them well suited for components subjected to high-frequency vibrations. In the nuclear energy sector, their exceptional radiation resistance renders them ideal for machining internal reactor components. The length of the rods can be customized between 100 mm and 1,000 mm and can undergo secondary precision processes such as grinding and wire cutting to achieve complex geometries. Although the initial cost is higher compared to conventional cemented carbide, the extended service life and enhanced processing efficiency result in a lower unit production cost over time. In gear manufacturing, hobs produced from titanium carbide round rods ensure gear tooth surface accuracy of grade 6 or higher, meeting stringent requirements for high-performance mechanical transmission systems.
