Principle

Let shoelace cross the eyelet clamped on the fiber board, make the shoelace and eyelet form into 90 degree, make the fiber board and shoelace form into 45 degree. Then straining reciprocated the shoelace under the standard tension by eyelet. While the shoelace is damaged, stop the testing.

System to position the shoelace and eyelet at specified angles (90 degrees and 45 degrees).

Tensioning system that applies a standard load to the shoelace using weights (455g ± 5g per position, 6 weights included).

Mechanism to reciprocate the shoelace back and forth through the eyelet with a controlled movable stroke (76 ± 2 mm).

Controllable test speed (100 ± 5 cpm) for the reciprocating motion.

Touch-screen control interface for setting test parameters and monitoring the test.

Integrated digital counter (0-999.999 range) to track the number of abrasion cycles performed.

Designed to utilize standard eyelets (Brass, Inner diameter: 4.5mm) and fiberboard (25$times$25mm, Inner diameter 5.0 ± 0.2mm).

Robust construction suitable for repetitive abrasion testing.

Application

This shoelace abrasion tester is used for shoelace against standard eyelet abrasion testing, or eyelet against standard shoelace abrasion testing. This tester is suitable for all kinds of shoelace and eyelet.
