Titanium carbide guide wheels for industrial transmission

Hard alloy titanium carbide guide wheels exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance. When subjected to rapid temperature changes—from room temperature to 300°C and back—these guide wheels remain crack-free, making them well suited for batch production environments. They are available in a wide range of dimensions, with diameters from 50 mm to 500 mm and widths from 10 mm to 100 mm, enabling compatibility with various stretching and rolling equipment. In optical fiber and cable manufacturing, they provide precise guidance for optical fibers, maintaining signal attenuation below 0.2 dB/km and ensuring high-quality communication performance. Compared to ceramic guide wheels, hard alloy titanium carbide guide wheels offer superior toughness, reducing the risk of fracture due to minor impacts and thereby decreasing replacement frequency. Their service life is approximately two to three times longer than that of ceramic counterparts. In steel cord production, a single set of these guide wheels can process over 1,000 tons of cord, whereas ceramic guide wheels typically last only 300 to 500 tons. The favorable cost-performance ratio has facilitated widespread adoption in the tire industry, contributing to enhanced tire wear resistance and safety.
