·Non-toxic and Safe: Nisin is a safe, non-toxic, and highly effective natural preservative. Once ingested, it is easily broken down by plant proteases, does not affect the normal gut microbiota, and does not contribute to antibiotic resistance or cross-resistance with other antibiotics.
·Safety Certification: Nisin's safety has been widely recognized. In 1969, the Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives of the FAO/WHO (Food and Agriculture Organization/World Health Organization) confirmed that nisin is safe for use as a food preservative.
