ASTM B466 C70600 Copper-Nickel Seamless Pipes for Seawater Cooling Systems
We supplyC70600 copper-nickel seamless pipesconforming toASTM B466 / B466M, also known as90/10 copper-nickel alloy seamless tubes. Based on copper with approximately 10% nickel and small additions of iron and manganese, this alloy offers excellent seawater corrosion resistance, resistance to flowing seawater erosion, good weldability, and excellent formability.
It is one of the most commonly used materials for seawater cooling systems, condensers, heat exchangers, and marine piping systems.
Compared with ordinary copper tubes, carbon steel pipes, and stainless steel pipes, C70600 copper-nickel alloy provides excellent overall service performance in flowing seawater, mildly polluted seawater, oxygenated seawater, and certain marine environments. In seawater service, the material surface gradually forms a stable protective film, effectively reducing the risk of uniform corrosion and improving long-term operational reliability.

C70600 copper-nickel seamless pipes are suitable for natural seawater, circulating seawater, brackish water, and certain industrial cooling-water environments. C70600 copper-nickel alloy offers good resistance to flowing seawater erosion and is suitable for piping sections subject to demanding flow velocity, sand content, and operating conditions.
3. Good Resistance to Marine Biofouling
Copper-nickel alloys provide a certain degree of resistance to marine biofouling in seawater environments. This helps reduce the adhesion of microorganisms, shellfish, and algae to tube walls, thereby lowering the risks of pipe blockage, reduced heat-transfer efficiency, and increased maintenance frequency.
4. Excellent Weldability and Fabrication Properties
C70600 copper-nickel seamless pipes feature good cold-working, bending, flaring, reducing, and welding properties. They can meet the requirements of on-site marine piping installation, prefabrication, flange connections, welded assembly, and matching with complex fittings.
